Construction of Wood Plastic Flooring
1. Preparation before the construction of wood plastic flooring, it is necessary to ensure that the concrete base of the construction site is level in the air before construction. That's very important. I hope everyone doesn't force construction just to save time, otherwise the resulting gains and losses will be equally significant.
2. The center spacing of the keel should be controlled between 310-410mm, and there should be a gap of 10mm between the joints at the ends of the keel for drainage. At the same time, the end joints between the keel rows should be staggered and not in a single curve. The allowable error for the spacing between the keels is 10mm, and the flatness is 3mm. The expansion joint between the walls is taken as 8-10mm.
3. When the aerial construction conditions at the grassroots level of the construction site are poor and it is impossible to maintain the original structure, steel keels should be used instead of wood plastic keels. Galvanized steel should be used before use, and the welding slag should be removed and rust proof treatment should be carried out on the welded joints. So, in order to have higher levels of insulation materials and insulation technology, XPS wood plastic panels face a huge market.
4. Excellent hydrophobicity, moisture resistance, and water absorption rate are important parameters for balancing insulation materials. After absorbing water, the insulation function of the insulation material decreases. At low temperatures, the water sucked in is prone to freezing, which damages the structure of the insulation material and reduces the compressive strength and insulation function of the board. Due to the fact that polystyrene molecules do not absorb water on their own, the molecular structure of the board remains unchanged and there are no gaps, which solves problems such as water leakage, infiltration, frosting, and condensation in other materials.
5. The size of the floor joint gap should be reasonably determined based on the temperature and humidity of the environment during the installation and removal of the wood plastic floor, the length of the floor, the moisture content of the floor, and the detailed situation of the laying area.
Precautions for construction of wood plastic flooring:
1. Due to the high density of wood plastic materials, self tapping screws need to be drilled with a drill bit at positions where they are being used, and then the tightening of the self tapping screws should be stopped.
2. Requirements for fixing the keel: The installation and dismantling work surface should be flat and free of potholes, and the spacing between the keels should be between 300mm and 350mm. Wood plastic board XPS insulation board is a wood plastic polystyrene insulation board. It is a rigid foam plastic board made of polystyrene resin as raw material plus other raw and auxiliary materials and polymers, which is heated, mixed and injected with catalyst, and then molded by wood plastic pressing. Its scientific name is wood plastic polystyrene foam for thermal insulation (XPS for short). XPS has a good closed cell honeycomb structure, which makes XPS board have low water absorption (almost no water absorption), low thermal conductivity, high compression resistance, and anti-aging performance (almost no aging decomposition phenomenon in normal use).
3. Regarding the installation and dismantling of large-area wood plastic flooring, it is recommended to use the installation and dismantling method shown in the diagram, and the length of each wood plastic flooring should not exceed 2 meters.
