The comfort and warmth brought by wooden flooring are the main reasons why many people choose flooring decoration. But there are so many types of wooden flooring, and each one brings a different experience to people. For example, solid wood flooring, solid wood composite flooring, and laminate flooring, which one should be chosen better when decorating? Let the merchant analyze it, and you no longer have to worry about choosing the wrong one.

Solid wood flooring

Solid wood flooring is made from natural wood processing, and there are many specifications of tree species, which will not be listed one by one here. The formaldehyde emission from solid wood flooring can be ignored, almost considered as zero formaldehyde flooring, which can be used by households that are more concerned about formaldehyde pollution.

The standard thickness of solid wood flooring is 18mm, but there is no wear-resistant layer on the surface, so the wear resistance is very poor. Of course, it also depends on the tree species, as the wear resistance of each tree species is different. Solid wood flooring has very poor water resistance and is not suitable for wiping with a damp cloth to avoid losing its luster.

The general price of solid wood flooring is around 200-500 yuan/square meter, and the differences in price are determined by the tree species and craftsmanship. Of course, better solid wood flooring costs over a thousand yuan. Suitable for use in living rooms, bedrooms, study rooms, and other areas, and should be maintained regularly.

Solid wood composite flooring

Solid wood composite flooring is made by interlocking and pressing boards of different tree species. In the market, solid wood composite flooring is mainly divided into three-layer solid wood composite flooring and multi-layer solid wood composite flooring. Although multi-layer solid wood composite flooring sounds more sturdy and durable than three-layer flooring, it is generally not recommended for households to use multi-layer solid wood composite flooring due to the increased formaldehyde emissions caused by the use of excessive adhesive products during production and processing.

The commonly used thickness for solid wood composite flooring is 15mm, as it visually resembles solid wood flooring and has a good foot feel, there is no need to choose 18mm flooring. Its surface is uniformly pressed with a layer of aluminum oxide, similar to reinforced flooring, but its wear resistance is lower than that of reinforced flooring. Of course, its water resistance is very poor, and if it is accidentally soaked in water, it cannot be repaired.

The price of solid wood composite flooring is mostly between 150-500 yuan/square meter, of course, there are also thousands of yuan. Most three-layer solid wood composite flooring can achieve E1 and E0 environmental protection levels, but attention should also be paid when purchasing to avoid being deceived. Families with underfloor heating prefer this type of solid wood composite flooring, which has strong heat resistance and is not easily deformed.

Reinforced flooring

Reinforced flooring is made by pressing wood chips, scraps, etc., with only one layer of veneer used on the surface. It is mainly divided into a four layer structure: wear-resistant layer+decorative layer+high-density substrate layer+balance layer, and the wear resistance of reinforced flooring is very good, more than 10-30 times that of ordinary flooring. Currently, the commonly used 8mm thickness in the market.

Reinforced flooring is one of the materials with high formaldehyde content, but generally, flooring that meets the E1 environmental protection level is relatively safe, so be sure to keep your eyes open when choosing.

Generally, the price of reinforced flooring ranges from 80 to 300 yuan/square meter, which is relatively cheap. However, when choosing, it is better to choose mid to high end flooring. It is more suitable for use in public areas with high pedestrian traffic, but its water resistance is poor, so it is necessary to ensure that the indoor environment is relatively dry.

The above is a summary of the advantages and disadvantages of solid wood flooring, solid wood composite flooring, and laminate flooring. Is there anything else you don't understand? You can leave a message~~
